In life, there are certain things that make you feel uncomfortable. No matter where you are, or who you are with – it’s just those weird, strange and awkward moments that give you the *ugh I wish I could leave* feelings.

16. ghiscari_
Strangers taking photos of me, or rather appearing to take photos of me.
It’s so hard to tell nowadays with everyone owning a camera phone. I have what I can only describe as ‘rational paranoia’ since people can and will take my picture. Because apparently people think that’s an okay thing to do to a person with dwarfism.
Now whenever someone is holding their phone up with the mannerisms of taking a picture, facing me, I feel a lump in the pit of my stomach. Are they being rude as fuck right now and treating me like a goddamn spectacle? Or are they just looking at a photo? Or taking a selfie?
I’m not one for confrontations, so I just give the benefit of the doubt. But I can feel so unnerved and comfortable about it for hours afterwards.
17. brokendowndryer
Being told “I love you” by someone you don’t feel the same about.
I’m not talking about your significant other. I’m talking about that cousin or aunt that you see once or twice a year who says it to you as you are leaving.
I don’t feel the same way. I have trouble with “I love you” to begin with, and I’m just not going to hand it out to random cousin. It makes me so uncomfortable. I never say it back. Usually just “good to see you” and a quick hug and I’m out.
