4 Killer Drink Recipes To Make Your Pops On Father’s Day

Alcohol brings everyone together.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, everyone is always curious WTF do we get our dads that say “I love you,” but also say, “You’re the sh*t?” Obviously – alcohol is the perfect way into anyone’s heart (unless your dad doesn’t drink, and if that’s the case, get him a book or something).

For those who have dads who are ready for a Sunday Funday and let loose, here are some killer drink recipes that use some of the best whiskey and beer – trust me, you won’t be sorry.

1. Burdeos Old Fashioned
2 oz. Gran Patrón Burdeos
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Orange Zests (one for garnish)
1 Bar spoon rich demerera syurp or one demerara sugar cube

How To Make It:
Express one orange zest into a double old fashioned glass.
Combine Gran Patrón Burdeos, sugar and bitters in the glass.
Add large chunks of ice and stir ten revolutions to chill.
Express a second orange zest over the surface of the drink.
Garnish with the orange peel.

2. Saint Bernard Spritz

2 oz. Aperol
3 oz. Prosecco
1 oz. Sparkling Water

How To Make It:
Build in a wine glass and enjoy somewhere outdoors!

3. Blackberry Tom Collins
1.25 oz NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.75 oz Simple Syrup
3 Blackberries
Club Soda to top

How To Make It:
Muddle blackberries with a simple syrup in a mixing glass. Add NOLET’S Silver, lemon juice and ice. Shake and strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with soda. Garnish with two fresh blackberries.

4. Samuel Adams Summer Ale Sangria
Serves: Approx. 40 three-ounce servings
4¼ bottles Samuel Adams Summer Ale
2 bottles of light white wine, like a sweet Riesling
2 oz. soda water
½ cup of cognac
½ cup of apple schnapps
½ cup of simple syrup
2 honeydew melons, peeled, sliced and diced
4 oranges, cut in to wheels

How To Make It:
Mix all ingredients except soda water together in a large bowl, and refrigerate overnight. Add 2 oz. of soda water, and serve.
