Oh Sh*t: In-N-Out Is No Longer America’s Favorite Burger Joint

Take that, West Coast.

Guess what West Coast? Your time in the sun is official o-v-e-r.

While everyone who ever flies over to the opposite side of the country to get some cool, hipster points – there’s no denying that being on the West Coast is not complete without a trip to In-N-Out. Between the “brand name,” their animal fries and the awesome Insta-quality shots, everyone wants to go there at least once or ten times.

But, as much as aesthetic is great, it seems as though America has spoken – In-N-Out is no longer America’s favorite burger chain.

That’s right folks – there’s a new sheriff in town going by the name of Five Guys.

Five Guys has been around forever, but, when these trendy little burger joints opened up (In-N-Out, Shake Shack), they took a back seat while everyone tried to get on brand with huge names.

But, now, Five guys has been ranked #1 in in The Harris Poll’s annual EquiTrend Study.

Why Five Guys?

Well, for one, their burgers are actual burgers. If you have ever tried In-N-Out and Shake Shack, you’d know you always need a double – or two burgers – to really fill you up. They’re tiny. Super tiny. Plus, they don’t taste like a real, grilled burger – like Five Guys does.

Also – Five Guys loads you up with fries. Not only do you get your order’s worth – but they top your bag up to the top with fries.

How can you ever argue with more fries?

Food reviewer for Business Insider Hollis Johnson writes:

“It’s a simple burger that’s filling and delicious in a guilty sort of way. As the better-burger industry evolves, there’s something to be said for restaurants that serve an honest, humble burger in a no-frills environment. It’s the classic American burger enterprise.”

Plus, Obama digs Five Guys – and everyone knows he’s dope AF.
