Ever heard and seen something that made your skin crawl from embarrassment? Cringing is something we all hate, but admittedly love doing. So get ready to cringe, because here are some of the cringest, anonymously submitted stories you’ll ever hear.
1. The Long Lost Baby.
“I was walking on campus and I see this young woman looking lost. She’s got her hands on her lower back and her belly out. This is the pregnant lady pose. So feeling like a helpful know it all, I ask her if she’s lost. She asks me where the bus stop is and I’m going that direction anyway so I offer to walk some of the way with my new helpless, pregnant friend. Desperate to make conversation in the awkward silence I say, “So your due any day now huh?” She says, “No, I’m not pregnant, just fat”. Now it would be a blessing if she’d walk away from me indignantly and leave me in my own puddle of shame but she keeps walking next to me asking me all sorts of questions and offering thirty minutes of conversation!”
2. Real Life Biology.
“It was really hot out one day when I was a junior in high school, and I really wanted to wear this new dress I got. The only issue was I was on my period. But I figured since it was almost towards the end and it was pretty light, I could stick in a tampon, throw on some underwear and be set. All day I was fine and felt no sudden outbursts even when sneezing. But once biology class ended and I got up to leave, blood ran down both of my legs and even got onto other student’s book bags. I was so embarrassed and squatted my way out of the classroom with one of my friends covering me. What’s even worse is she had to help clean myself up afterwards.”
3. First Time Seeing Boobs.
“In sixth or seventh grade, I remember liking this girl and she had the biggest thing for me. So we decided that when our field trip came to go to Six Flags we would sit next to each other the whole ride there. It was really fun at first, because she was the first girl that really ever took an interest in me, but then things got weird. As she was talking to me her shirt started unbuttoning until it was completely open. I remember being so embarrassed for her that as she was talking, I couldn’t look at her. I think she realized what had happened when she suddenly stopped talking. When I turned back to look at her, her shirt was buttoned back up. We sat in silence for the rest of the bus ride.”
4. The Girl in the Next Stall.
“I worked at a summer program as an instructor with one of my best friends. We loved the camp and the kids, but there was one coworker that we could not stand. My best friend and I used to work and then meet up in the bathroom just to rant about this one coworker. Well one day, during one of our daily bathroom meet-ups, my friend was really going off on this coworker. Cursing her out and calling her all types of names. It wasn’t until we heard a flush from someone in the bathroom stall that we stopped talking and found this particular coworker coming out from that stall and going to the sink to wash her hands. We were silent until she left and decided never to speak badly about our coworkers… well at least not at work.”
5. The Bold Move.
“In eighth grade I liked this guy in my class. I didn’t know anything about him, and I never even had a conversation with this boy, but I liked him a lot… and I mean a lot a lot. I liked him so much that I decided to professionally record a song about him, using his name in the chorus, and release it to the whole school. I even gave him his own personal copy. Let’s just say the feelings weren’t mutual and I was crushed. But hey, at least I had the balls to do something so ballsy.”
5. The Witty Comeback.
“So in middle school, I was an easy target for bullying. I was pretty chubby and awkward and never really had many friends. Kid’s used to call me named constantly, but for some reason it never bothered me. I never cared much for what people thought of me and kind of pushed off people that picked on me. It wasn’t until one day when a boy in my class called me something that really set me off: A fat Jew. I was shocked by this comment and that someone could say something so terrible that I just said the first thing that came to my head. I told him that when he grows up he is going to be a garbage man working for the government making minimum wage with decent benefits. Right when I said this I knew I would remember this moment for the rest of my life. I was right.”
6. Closet Sex.
“I was hooking up with this guy senior year of high school. We mostly just made out, but we both wanted to actually do it. It was just hard because my parents left for work before I left for school, and they were always home before I got home, etc. So one morning, I decided to hide in my mom’s closet after she left for work so my dad would look at my bed and not find me there, assuming I had already left for school. I told my boyfriend about this plan and told him I’d text him when to leave for my place. I figured I’d hide until my dad left for work. But that day, my dad decided not to leave for work and called out sick. I was standing in my mom’s closet for five hours before he finally decided to leave the house to run some errands. By the time I could finally step out, it was too late to invite him over.”
7. My Boyfriend’s Mom Knows We Have Sex.
“When I was fifteen I was dating this guy I was practically in love with. I mean I lost my virginity to this guy and I was convinced he was the one. Well one day, when his mom had left for work, we decided to take the opportunity to get it on. While we were halfway through, his mom burst through door because she had forgotten something. She didn’t find what she was looking for, but she did come home to find her son fully naked banging me from behind. She was so horrified she ran to the kitchen and stayed there for a good hour or two. I decided it was probably a good idea for me to get going, but I felt I couldn’t leave without saying anything. So before I left I went into the kitchen and told her, “I’m sorry I had sex with your son.”
