It seems as though Starbucks has caught on to the notion that as soon as they release a frappuccino with a magical associated character, they hit instant Internet fame. To keep riding on their own coattails, they’ve decided to keep this trend going and introduce – yet another – magical frappuccino for your sweet tooth.
First, we had the Unicorn Frappuccino. Then, the Dragon Frappuccino.
And now – they give us the Mermaid Frappuccino.
The drink is purple and green (reminding us of mermaid-y vibes, like Ariel in the Little Mermaid) and is made with vanilla bean frappuccino mix, black berries and matcha powder. Apparently, the drink was created as a substitute when one Starbucks location ran out of Unicorn Frappuccino ingredients. Although it’s not on the official Starbucks menu, baristas have been making this drink up for anyone who orders it (hint, hint).
