“This Is My Skull Piece”—Paris Hilton Has Been Busy Making Art In Lockdown

I ordered a paint-by-numbers kit the other day for quarantine activities. Every day, I wait patiently for it to arrive, like its organized creativity will help me keep sane. Art is a great way to pass time, express yourself, and feel productive—and Paris Hilton is deep into becoming the next Jeff Koons or something according to this art show she shared with fans on YouTube.

Hilton has an art room that looks like a kindergarten classroom gone haywire. Tons of paint, glitter, and colored paper strewn about. It’s kind of amazing. Art is supposed to be messy!

“I’ve literally been going crazy cutting things out,” Hilton says showing off some of her collages.

“This is my skull piece, which I love. It’s an amazing collage of all my favorite skulls.”

She also painted a picture of her boyfriend’s mom’s cat, named Sadie, for her birthday.

Hilton explains that she will be working on a piece of art for charity, and takes us outside to show her process, which is drawing a cat on an iPad.

“It’s been nice to not travel…I’m enjoying this time with my pets and my boyfriend,” Hilton said. She’s also been watching BoJack Horseman, Rick and Morty, and Westworld while in quarantine.

“During this pandemic I’m doing a lot of different charity work with my family’s foundation,” she also said referencing to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which invests in program areas including disaster relief and recovery and homelessness. The Foundation recently gave $10 million in funding towards COVID-10 relief efforts and support for vulnerable communities. Half will go towards protecting the homeless of Los Angeles and the other half will go to African countries preparing for the outbreak.

Art and philanthropy sounds pretty good to us.
