Some families have probably gone through the entire Disney catalog by now, but just in case you’re not sick of “Let It Go” yet, the Disney Family Singalong is coming to ABC on Thursday, April 16th to dazzle you with some performances of classic songs sung by celebrities in their living rooms.
The special, which starts at 8 PM, will feature songs from Moana, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and others.
Ryan Seacrest will host the one-hour show. Expect to see celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Kristen Chenoweth, Julianne Hough, Josh Gad, Auli’i Cravalho, Donny Osmond, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and others. Additionally, the event will feature a performance of the High School Musical classic, “We’re All in This Together,” with Kenny Ortega and the cast of High School Musical.
“If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories, or music,” ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke said. “We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in the only way that Disney can.”
The special will also bring attention to relief efforts aimed at helping folks get through the COVID-19 pandemic. According to ABC, there will be PSAs throughout the program, especially for Feeding America, an organization with a “vast network” of resources for people “experiencing hunger for the first time due to COVID-19.”
The Disney Family Singalong airs this Thursday, April 16th at 8pm Eastern on ABC.
