An artist reimagined Disney princesses as pregnant women in modern-day, and people seem to like her renditions. Oksana Pashchenko, an artist from Russia, posted her artwork throughout the month of April on Instagram, and her pictures soon went viral.
Pashchenko first shared an image of pregnant Ariel alongside Eric.
“Somewhere between the first and second part of the Little Mermaid movie,” Pashchenko captioned her post.
Pashchenko followed her original post with images of Aurora, Jasmine, Belle, Pocahontas, Mulan, Cinderella, and Tiana.
Pashchenko told Bored Panda her own pregnancy was the inspiration for her latest artwork.
“I myself was already pregnant and since it was a magical time, I thought, why not remake the Disney princesses as a continuation of the happy ending to this tale,” she said.
Fans loved the pictures.
“Omg how cute is this,” one user commented.
“These pictures are so adorable I love every single one,” another user said.
Fans were requesting their favorite princesses in the comments. Many requested Princess Tiana, who was the latest addition, and Rapunzel, who hasn’t been posted yet.
