A disturbing video is circulating the web in which actor Ezra Miller choking and pushing a woman to the ground. The encounter took place in Reykjavik, Iceland at a bar, and folks are confused whether or not the altercation was real or a just a really bad joke. Like, the worst joke of all time because choking women is never funny.
In the video, which is seven seconds long, a person (presumably Miller) says, “Did you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do?” to a young woman who appears to smiling and jokingly getting ready for a fight.
In the video, Miller proceeds to grab the girl by the throat and throw her to the ground. The person filming can be heard saying, “Woah, bro. Bro,” and then stops shooting.
Variety confirmed the incident took place around 6 p.m. on April 1 at Prikið Kaffihús, a bar in central Reykjavik that Miller often visits when they are in town. A source at the establishment, Prikið Kaffihús, also told Variety that this was “a serious altercation at the bar, and that the man, whom they identify as Miller, was escorted off the premises.” (Miller, who identifies as non-binary, uses the pronoun ‘they.’)
According to a source at the bar, the fight took place after Miller was confronted by a group of eager fans who were pushy. Things got bad, the source said, and Miller lost their temper at one woman in particular.
Miller has been featured in a number of films, including “We Need To Talk About Kevin,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and “Justice League.” Miller is set to be playing Barry Allen in the film version of DC Comic’s The Flash.
