A mood of elation and exhaustion is hard to capture in just one video. But this video of a plush Kermit the Frog spinning in a tub of water does just that. The video became a meme on Twitter over the last week, with people applying various captions to it, from “me after school” to “when you dumb drunk”:

Some people have remixed the video with different songs, but the original video’s music is part of its appeal. Yes, that’s the “Fly Me to the Moon” song from the ’90s anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, which appeared at the close of each episode.
The video was originally posted by Phillip Escudero on Facebook, where it has received more than 1 million views.

Video memes of objects spinning to the Evangelion version of “Fly Me to the Moon” already existed before the Kermit video, and Escudero pointed to this traffic cone one below as an example.
There is something very soothing about watching objects spin around and around on a loop to an upbeat song.
So take a break from reading the news today and enjoy this video.
