HBO Finally Graces Us With A Preview Of The Final Season Of ‘Game Of Thrones’

It’s no secret that we’ve all been anxiously awaiting the final season of Game of Thrones. While HBO has let us know that the new season will be coming sometime in April 2019, we’ve been looking for a trailer, a clue, or even hint at what is to come.
While some of the cast and crew have posted, tweeted, Instagrammed, and spoken about Season 8–we haven’t gotten all that much from them. We know Sophie Turner’s tattoo has nothing to do with Sansa Stark’s fate, Arya Stark won’t let us know if she’s the final survivor, and our girl Dany is just pretty damn sad she’s wrapping up her biggest production to date.

But, on Sunday, HBO surprised us all with a little tease at what’s to come. During their Sunday night lineup this weekend, the network released a 100-second clip of all of their 2019 shows–including Game of Thrones.

In the very few seconds of footage from the new season, we see Jon Snow finally reuniting with his sister, Sansa Stark at what appears to be Winterfell. Arya Stark was swiftly featured, as well as the Night King’s piercing blue eyes. Dany, of course, made a triumphant appearance as well. But, the video leaves a whole lot to be desired, as it’s cut so quickly, we can’t seem to make anything out of it in terms of each show individually.

Along with GoT, the network released clips and previews of some other big names coming next year, including Big Little Lies, True Detective, Veep, and Pod Save America. 2019 is clearly shaping up to be a rather big year for HBO.
