People Are Attacking Kim Kardashian For The Petty Way She Stood Up For Kanye West On Twitter

When your husband is being publicly based online, the right thing to do is to stand up for him–right?
While that may usually be the case, sometimes when your husband is the one in the wrong, it only makes the situation look worse if you try to defend him. This week, Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to defend her hubby, Kanye West, after an old business partner and friend called him out online.

It all started with some beef between Kanye West, Pusha T, and Drake. Kanye West produced Pusha T’s new album–DAYTONA. On the album, there’s one specific track–”Infrared”–which is a direct diss at rapper Drake and his label “Young Money,” with Lil Wayne and Baby. He takes shots at Drake saying that he doesn’t write his own lyrics and hires ghostwriters instead. He also comes for his other friends and his label.

After the album dropped, Drake took no time at all coming back with a freestyle to get at Pusha T and Kanye West both. The song–”Duppy Freestyle”–calls out both rappers for their lame games. Duppy, if you don’t know, means ghost in Jamaican patois (a direct clap back at the accusation that Drake uses ghostwriters). In one of the last verses, Drake says:

I told Weezy and Baby “I’ma done him for you”
Tell ‘Ye we got a invoice coming to you
Considering that we just sold another 20 for you

And, he even made an invoice for GOOD Music, Kanye’s label.

You’re welcome. ?

Drake came at Kanye West pretty hard, saying that it’s funny he’s going to produce a song taking jabs at him for using ghostwriters when Drake himself came in to help write “Father Stretch My Hands” on “The Life of Pablo.” After posting the invoice online, a lot of people were going wild online–including an old friend and business partner of Kanye West.

Che “Rhymefest” Smith, co-founder of Donda’s House and ghostwriter for “Jesus Walks” tweeted Drake asking him to donate some of the money from the invoice to the charity named after Kanye’s late mother.

Apparently, the charity that was started by both West and Rhymefest together, has been going through financial difficulties. The charity was set up to help the youth of Chicago–something West has been preaching about (especially lately). Kim Kardashian was not happy to see someone trying to drag her husband–so she clapped back and she clapped back hard.

People on Twitter thought that the way in which Kim clapped back was rude, disrespectful, and petty. They called her out for being so “immature” about something that is pretty serious–a non-profit charity for the poor youth in Chicago (something Kanye West claims no one cares about).

After Kim decided to “clap back,” Rhymefest issued a statement saying that he doesn’t care if her followers don’t know who he is–the people of Chicago do. He’s been putting in the time and the work to run a charity to help the youth–something her husband has preached but has not ever come through on. He also said that it’s unbelievable for her to criticize a charity she has never even tried to help or been affiliated with.

 Twitter

Directly following the outburst from Kim Kardashian on Twitter, the organization issued a statement that they will no longer be using the name “Donda’s House Inc.”

As well, the organization issued a longer statement on their website saying they feel as though people should “protest and cut ties” with Kanye West due to his erratic behavior in the spotlight recently, as well.

We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organisation that, like other non-profits, needs donations, corporate support, and volunteers. We do not want your rejection of Kanye West, to be a rejection of Dr Donda West and the thousands of lives she impacted including her own son.

Kim Kardashian decided to once again, take to Twitter, to “explain” what had actually gone down between Rhymefest and her husband.

However, people on Twitter still felt as though her response was immature, petty, and uncalled for. As well, they felt as though this should have been handled between Kanye and Rhymefest–not Kim.

And–if you need further proof…

Also–where the f**k is Kanye West in all of this?
