Whenever we struggle with depression and our mental health, we look for someone to talk to. It’s hard to speak to people who are close to us and involved in our own, personal lives because we don’t want to become a burden and involve them.
That’s why crisis hotlines and help centers exist–for those moments when we’re feeling so low, we need a helping hand. Some people are reluctant to reach out to help centers, although their employees are trained to help in any way they can. One guy decided it was time to find someone to talk to about his struggle with his own depression, but, instead of texting a crisis hotline–he texted Stouffer’s Customer Service Line–the pasta company. While many customer service reps would be reluctant to help, Sarah was there for him in a way that deserves to be seen.
After going viral on Facebook and being shared over 20,000 times, people were impressed and thankful that people like Sarah exist in the world.
It’s always nice to help someone in need. If you or a loved one suffers from depression, The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7. Call 1-800-273-8255 or go to their official website.
