When it comes to dating shows, we usually low-key love them (but won’t admit it in public). While they seem kind of staged and inauthentic, there are some of them that feature situations that truly warm your heart and make you have a little more faith in the world. Recently, a dating show in Ireland featured its first-ever date with two deaf individuals, and people on Twitter were overjoyed and touched at the sentiment of inclusion. Many times, producers avoid casting deaf people in fear that “the lack of verbal communication will be boring to viewers.” But, there is nothing more exciting than seeing two people connect, even through sign-language.
The show called “First Dates Ireland” featured these two guys on their first date (one of whom is deaf) and showed that every person has “first date problems” in real life, no matter who you are.

Both guys looked as though they were having a good time and discussed the difficulties of dating as a deaf man (especially when dating guys who cannot sign). The episode was a success and many people on Twitter (even not from Ireland), were praising the show and the network for this sentiment of inclusion.
