Park now claims she is forced to live with her mother after blowing her fortune. She says living alone was “hard work and stressful” seeing as how she “couldn’t even make a bed.” Again she thinks it’s the lottery that ruined her life. I hate to break it to you but if you make it to 21 years of age and can’t manage to make your bed your life has long been ruined. She’s sticking to her story that Euromillions has destroyed her young life by giving her too much money.
“At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life. I thought it would make [my life] ten times better but it’s made it ten times worse, I wish I had no money most days. I say to myself, ‘My life would be so much easier if I hadn’t won.’ I think 18 should be the minimum age for winning the lottery, at the least. The current age of 16 [in the UK] is far too young. You can’t give a 17-year-old that amount of money.”
She wishes she had no money most days? This girl is ultimately out of touch with reality, but she may have a point about raising the legal age of the lottery in the UK. 16 years old may be a bit young to have the chance to win a life-changing amount of money. At that age like anything going on with teenagers, I feel like we have to look at the parents in this situation.
“I have material things but apart from that my life is empty, what is my purpose in life?”
What do you think?
Do you think Jane Park has a case about raising the age of the lottery in the UK? Do you feel bad for her at all? I know I don’t but who knows maybe I’m just a hater. I just find it hard to believe the lottery is to blame for her destroyed life. Especially after reading about some of the purchases she made but what do you think?
