20 Things Anyone With Insomnia Will Relate To On A Deep, Painful Level

If you’re anything like me, insomnia is your middle name. It can be so hard to wake up in the morning and stay awake all day… all you want to do is sleep, however, that just can’t happen. As you get older and you have more responsibilities, the more tired you become. Most days, you want to fall asleep at your desk and maybe once or twice, you have. My favorite place to fall asleep?  On my commute to and from work – I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fall into a deep sleep and almost miss my stop. But when it comes to going to sleep at night? Forget it. I’m up until 3, 4, 5 A.M. wondering why TF I’m exhausted during the day but never, ever at night.

1. When your alarm goes off and you hate your life.

2. You hit the snooze button and say ‘five more minutes’.

3. It’s finally time to wake up and even though you’re late, you can barely open your eyes.

4. You don’t fully wake up until around 11 A.M.

5. You wish your job had a naptime like preschool does.
