4. I want to be married to my best friend for more years.
Your 20’s and 30’s are your best years, so why not spend them beside the person you love? I want to look back on my life and be able to say that I was married to my best friend for as long as I can remember. Getting married young doesn’t suddenly stop your life – it gives you more. I want to grow up alongside my best friend and be able to know that we’ve been through it all together.
5. Getting married young does not stop you from being able to achieve your goals.
I know that there are certain things that I need to do before I can get married. I know that there are goals that I want to accomplish before I take that next step in life, but I also know that there are so many other goals that I have that marriage will not slow down. Getting married young does not mean that you suddenly have to drop all of your life’s goals and dreams.
6. I’m not afraid to settle down.
I know what I want right now, and I know what I’ll want in 20 years, and it’s still the same person and the same life with that person. I don’t know why I would want to wait so that other people can start to believe what I’ve known for years. I’ve wanted to marry this person for years now, I want to marry this person now, and I’ll want to marry this person ten years from now. I’m not afraid to commit, and I don’t want to pretend that I am just because everybody else my age is.
