GOT star and soon-to-be-wife of the second hottest (don’t @ me) Jonas brother clapped TF back in response to a now-private video posted to Twitter meant to serve as “proof” that Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is “rude and “heartless.” The clip showed fans waiting outside of Finn’s hotel on two separate occasions. Name-calling commenced when the young actor didn’t stop to sign autographs. No stranger to growing up famous, Sophie Turner took to her Twitter to come to the 14-year-old’s defense.
“Damn… seeing fully grown adults wait outside the ‘Stranger Things’ kids’ hotels etc , and then abuse them when they don’t stop for them…Is super weird,” she began. “A. What adult in their right mind waits for a CHILD outside their hotel and B is then is offended when the CHILD doesn’t stop.” She’s got a good point there.
She went on to say, “It doesn’t matter if they are an actor… they are kids first. Give them the space they need in order to grow without feeling like they owe…Anyone anything for living their childhood dreams.” She later added another message in her tweets, asking how a parent might feel if somebody began taking pictures of their kid in public without asking.

Oh and ps. Imagine.. you, a parent, walking with your 13 year old son/daughter and seeing a fully grown adult pointing their camera phone ..
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
.. at your kid. You would do anything you could to delete that persons photograph, and remove your child from that situation as soon as…
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
.. you could. It doesn’t matter if that child happens to be an actor and consented to a professional film crew capturing their moves when..
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
.. in character.. That does NOT mean that this child consented to being followed around with a camera in their face. I don’t care if it
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
“Comes with the job”. It doesn’t.
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
And how dare you shun and demean that child when they don’t pose for an adult strangers photograph or walk over and talk to them when they..
— Sophie Turner (@SophieT) November 6, 2017
.. take that NOT CONSENTED FOR photo . Doesn’t that go against everything we teach our children anyway? Pshhhh. Some people man.

Turner wasn’t the only actor to speak out on behalf of Finn Wolfhard. His Stranger Things costar Shannon Purser (BARB!!!) also came to his defense, stating that “no actor is under any obligation to stop for anyone. Finn is an incredibly kind human. But he’s human and he needs breaks too.”
Okay, no. No actor is under any obligation to stop for anyone. Finn is an incredibly kind human. But he's human and he needs breaks too. https://t.co/b4Lfrl1wU3

I experience this on a significantly smaller scale, obviously, but I've had people waiting for me in hotel lobbies, at my airport gate, etc.
— Shannon Purser (@shannonpurser) November 5, 2017
And I'm an adult. I can't imagine being inundated with all this attention at his age. It's intimidating.

So, from one big sister to the world, don't you DARE make young actors feel guilty or indebted to you because they couldn't say hi.
— Shannon Purser (@shannonpurser) November 5, 2017
They give you their art. They love their fans. Don't take advantage of that. And if you can't handle them needing space, stay away.

Both actors make solid points. Don’t be a weird adult. Don’t assume actors, regardless of age, owe you anything at all in this world. Actually, nobody owes you anything at all in this world. Celebrities have bad days too, and their unwillingness or inability to stop for you is in 100% of situations not meant as a personal attack. In the words of Barb, (Barb!!!) “if can’t handle them needing space, stay away.” Words to live by.
