Taylor Swift dropped her brand new single “Look What You Made Me Do” last night, the first single off her new album Reputation and, it’s got a whole new vibe to it. Long gone are the acoustic-Taylor days when she was singing about Romeo and Juliet and now – she’s gone bad. Yeah, Taylor got her groove back and then some.
The problem is – everyone thinks she sounds like a pretty crappy version of Katy Perry. Go figure that the two have a rivalry right now.
Not only did she come out with a brand new sound, she also released the single the same day that Katy Perry released her music video for “Swish, Swish.” Savagely planned? Obviously.

Even worse is, when everyone heard the song, they called out Tay Tay hardcore on Twitter for basically dropping a single that sounded exactly like her enemy.
taylor swift finally wrote a katy perry song

This song is Taylor Swift covering Katy Perry covering Taylor Swift.

Why does Taylor's song ironically sound like a bad Katy Perry song? I'm disappointed. ?

IMO it doesn't really sound like Taylor though. My first reaction was "She kinda sounds like Katy Perry" #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo #Awkward pic.twitter.com/oRbvtex0BJ

WHY DOES THE NEW TAYLOR SWIFT SONG SOUND LIKE KATY PERRY

"The old Taylor is dead", says Taylor Swift, right before launching another obvious attack at Katy Perry. Yawn.

At least Katy Perry and Taylor Swift can find some common ground on something now… they're both flops.

So, #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo is one of the least catchy Taylor Swift songs. Are her and Katy Perry w/ Swish Swish competing for worst song?

Why does Taylor Swift's new single sound like Katy Perry making a poor attempt at doing her own Melodrama? #TaylorSwiftisback

Ppl are talking about "new Taylor" but the whole point of #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo is to blame others 4 her actions..old tay is still alive+well
