You Definitely Missed This Important Detail From The Premiere of Game of Thrones

If you’re a true Game of Thrones fan, you were sitting on your couch waiting anxiously until the very moment that it premiered on HBO Sunday night. You also know, that no matter what happens – even if there is a fire in your house – you have to pay attention to every detail in this show. Game of Thrones is that type of TV show that if you look away for even a minute, you can miss very, very important details.

Like, in the Season 7 premiere – I’m sure you weren’t that interested in what Samwell Tarly was doing – since, he was basically cleaning up poop all day long. So, knowing you, you probably looked at your cell phone or something during that scene because – well, you have to text your friend about how epic Arya’s Frey-Smackdown was, right.

But – if you did look away, you missed this:

While cleaning out crap – literally – Samwell met someone we have long known and loved (eh kind of) but didn’t exactly see.

If you can’t figure out who that is – go rewatch the entire series because you’re lost AF.

That is none other than Jorah, Daenerys’ council who was “let go” for betraying her, but who’s madly in love with her nonetheless. If you don’t remember, he came down with a bad case of greyscale – which means he’s basically turning into a rock.

While there hasn’t been a true “cure” to greyscale – or so we think – Jorah is sent to the Citadel to hopefully find the cure or answers from someone there – because, all smart people in GoT go to the Citadel (case in point, Samwell).

Samwell went all “Harry Potter breaking into libraries” and stole the keys to a restricted part of the Citadel to find a book on how to kill White Walkers – because Winter is here and they are coming soon AF (thanks Bran).

While you probably didn’t care to see what Sam was reading – one Reddit user had a keen eye for detail and saw that what he was reading was super important to the plot – so thank you, Beastmodekaitl.

We already know that dragonglass is important in the show because we discovered that they are the only thing that can kill White Walkers – and, Jon Snow is having everyone search for it. But, Samwell found out that on Dragonstone (island, peeps) there is a huge mountain that is made of dragonglass – which, we really only cared about.

But, on this page, not only do they tell Sam where the dragonglass is, but, also what the dragonglass can do. The sliver of the page talks about curing – what? GREYSCALE B*TCHES.

If you need more proof – lets recall who was the only other character on the show to have greyscale – and have it cured:

Princess Shireen – you know – the daughter that Stannis Baratheon f*cking burnt in order to become “king.” Yeah, I’m still salty about that. What a horrible father. Anyway – Princess Shireen grew up on Dragonstone. Which, as we’ve said, is basically made of dragonglass.

So – what does this even mean?

It means that the writers of Game of Thrones are smart as f*ck because their plot just thickened like Grandma’s homemade sauce. Samwell knows that dragonglass can cure greyscale from this forbidden book – and, knows where to get it. So, Jorah isn’t going anywhere.
