Recently, Snapchat issued a new feature to their app that has been a bit controversial. While people can see what you’re doing, exactly when you’re doing it already through Snapchat, they can now see exactly where you’re doing it on the new SnapMap that was released last week.
With SnapMap, the app uses characters similar to Bitmojis and place them exactly where you are on a map, much like the Google Maps you use to navigate yourself literally everywhere – even the local McDonalds.
While it seems like a good idea in theory – it’s a little creep to see people actually moving, at real time, on a map – can someone say Big Brother Is Watching?
One girl knows this all too well, because she caught her boyfriend basically cheating on her through SnapMap.

This is almost as bad as when Snapchat had the “best friends” list, and you could see who your man was Snapchatting with the most – the cause of 100’s of fights in 2014 (I could be off by a year or two, don’t call the police).
People are going to be on full-on stalker mode now, so, if I were you – I’d go on ghost mode.
