Popular Instagram Fitness model and blogger, Rebecca Burger, was killed last week in a tragic accident involving a whipped cream dispenser. She was 33.
Burger’s family told TMZ that a whipped cream canister had “blown up,” and hit her in the chest, which caused Burger to go into cardiac arrest. Doctors reported her death a result of the cardiac arrest episode.
According to several outlets, the whipped cream dispenser had been recalled in France in the past – and, it had not been on the market since 2013.
Cosmopolitan reports:
“The dispenser works by injecting gas into a metal container, which ensures the entire dispenser remains under high pressure throughout the process — there have been reports for years of faulty connectors on the gas capsules. When broken, the capsules reportedly break and blow out with immense force.”
Burger’s family shared a photo of the whipped cream dispenser on her Instagram page.
Our hearts go out to Burger’s family during this difficult and tragic time.
