Breakups can be hard. They can come out of absolutely no where and completely destroy you as a person. When you’re in love and everything seems to crash before your eyes, it’s only natural that we need time to cope and recover from the tragic loss of something we thought would be forever. Especially, when it comes to school work. I mean, who really wants to write a paper when you feel like your heart just got ripped out of your chest? Not I.
One college student told BuzzFeed that after her boyfriend had broken up with her (out of nowhere – what a dick) that she emailed her professor about the incident as a reason she was submitting her paper late. Naturally, one would think that the professor would be heartless and take points off, regardless of the emotional turmoil the student had suffered. But, you’d be surprised at the way the professor reacted.
Here’s Rachel –
Rachel had shared on Twitter the screenshot of the email she had sent her professor after explaining her current, heartbreaking situation. Of course, she worded the email perfectly and we can’t help but feel absolutely horrible for this poor girl – we all know what it’s like to get our heart broken.
After she had shared her story online, she then shared the response her professor had given her after receiving the email.
I mean…he has a point. What better time to travel the world? Apparently, besides being a pretty smart guy and suggesting an independent trip around the world, the professor didn’t take off points for her assignment being late. In fact, Rachel got a B+ on her paper – no points off for lateness. All I need to know is which school is this and who is this professor?
Twitter also rallied behind Rachel, showing her some incredible support in her time of need.
