Do you remember making blanket forts as a kid? It might be time to channel those skills for your own children, who are likely getting a little bored of their q’tine routines and might enjoy some whimsy. But wait a minute before simply draping a blanket over two chairs—IKEA Russia has some creative suggestions that will put the basic blanket fort to shame.
The blueprints to your future snazzy fort were created by an agency called Instinc, and their campaign consists of instructions on how to build castles, forts, tents, and other cool structures to change things up for your antsy kiddo.
However, as with all IKEA furniture, the assembly process might drive you to open a bottle of vodka and cry. That’s okay! What better place to sob than in your own secret cave? Just hold it together and build it first.
Also, you won’t need to use IKEA furniture. You can use whatever you have already in your home, like blankets, books, chairs, and stools.
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to attempt to make the castle without any clothes pins. Maybe chip clips? Send thoughts and prayers.
