Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix featuring Nicki Minaj hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, which led fans to wonder if Doja will keep her word on a certain promise she made.
On May 5th, Doja Cat tweeted “if say so hits #1 I’ll show you guys my boobs really hard.” But now that “Say So” topped the charts, Doja Cat is walking back her tweet.
After “Say So” officially hit #1, Minaj thanked her fans on Instagram for “going so hard this past week to help us make history.” Minaj also thanked Doja Cat for the collab, and asked her “what time r u showing ur boobs?”
In an Instagram live, Doja Cat thanked fans for helping “Say So” hit No. 1, but also told her followers she has no intention of showing fans her boobs.
“I’m just going to be honest with you guys, I did play you,” Doja said. “I’m not showing my boobs real hard […] and I’m okay with you guys thinking, from now on, when I try to use that trick – which I won’t – if I do, just know motherf***er I’m not being serious.”
Instead, Doja pretended to make out with fans via Instagram live, which many were satisfied with.
Social media users immediately started making fun of Doja and the situation she found herself in.
Twitter user @goofyjuicejames even created a video telling the dramatic “story of hope and betrayal,” which Doja Cat retweeted.
Unfortunately, after Doja Cat announced she would not be showing her boobs on social media, users doxxed her and shared her alleged home address.
Fans called out the abusive behavior as “disgusting.”
Doja Cat has not responded to the doxxing, and it’s not confirmed this is her real address.
“Say So” was the first No. 1 song for both Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj.
