Leonardo DiCaprio Cracked Up After Ricky Gervais Called Him Out For Dating Younger Women

Sunday night was the Golden Globes, the night when Hollywood gathers together to get trashed and give each other awards. That sounds like a lot of other awards shows, for example, the Oscars, but the Globes are much wilder. It’s like junior prom for celebrities. They’re seated at tables instead of in a theater audience, and bottles of champagne are noticeable in every shot. The host is also supposed to be naughtier, which might be why Ricky Gervais keeps getting the gig.

Gervais likes to think of himself as a comedic bad boy and his hosting bits are generally long roasts of everyone in the audience. This year he decided to say something on stage about actor Leonardo DiCaprio that no one has yet said to his face on camera, though they do say it behind his back a lot.

Leonardo DiCaprio will not date a woman over the age of 25 and everyone knows it.

Talking about how long some movies are, Gervais joked, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was nearly three hours long. Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere, and by the end, his date was too old for him.”

When the camera cut to DiCaprio in his seat and he was actually laughing.

“Even Prince Andrew is like, ‘Come on, Leo, Mate,'” Gervais continued. “‘ You’re nearly 50, son.'”

DiCaprio is currently dating a 22-year-old actor Camila Marone, who will soon age out of the position. He had to laugh at himself because he’d look even worse if he sat there stone-faced, but I think the real award should go to the older woman sitting next to him who nods politely in agreement when DiCaprio turns to her. You can tell she’s seen some sh*t.

But people want to give it up to DiCaprio for having a sense of humor about himself.

Though others thought DiCaprio has a lot of nerve to laugh about something that actually isn’t that funny:

Hollywood doesn’t care about Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating habits at all, but it’s about time it was said out loud. And somewhere, the woman Leo will take as a date to the 2040 Golden Globes is just being born.
