If you haven’t seen or heard about the mess of a wax figure that was supposed to be Beyoncé, consider yourself lucky.
Major criticism arose over the Manhattan Madame Tussauds’ figure that bared little semblance to the singer and appeared to be shades lighter. Some even thought it looked more like Lindsay Lohan or Kate Gosselin.

And just in case you forgot what Beyoncé looks like:

Soon after, the wax figure disappeared and a spokesperson for the museum issued a statement.
“Our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately color match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted,” the spokesperson explained before going into possible reasons the figure looked much lighter, which included lighting and flash photography.
The figure came back with a few adjustments and a slightly orange tan, but you’re still going to need time to figure out who it’s supposed to be.

Several other questionable Beyoncé wax figures remain out there which resulted in this interesting theory.

But at least there is one wax figure that is definitely, without question, Beyoncé.
