Incase you live under a rock – or you’re a preteen – Drake, aka Aubrey Drake Graham played a very important character on a very important TV show growing up. Drake was better known as Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian TV show, Degrassi, that taught many of us the harsh realities of growing up. From sex, to bullying, to drugs, to friendships, to relationships and all the in between – Degrassi showed us the “real” version of high school and not just a clean, fake version of it.
Drake was also known on the TV show as the guy who got shot by a kid who was bullied who went crazy in the high school. And, in the TV show, he even had dreams of becoming a rapper – go figure. While the TV show is still going today, it has a whole new “class” and it’s definitely not as good as it once was. And, it’s been over 8 years since Drake appeared on the TV show – but, he let us know he’s still collecting that “Degrassi Money.”
Drake posted an Instagram photo of a check for $8.25, which, was probably a royalties check from reruns of the show. While Drake definitely doesn’t need any extra cash flow with all of his songs playing on every single radio station I turn on – it’s funny to see that his past is still paying off.
Life goals? Yeah, same.
