Girl Gets Neck Caught On Six Flag’s Ride, Forced To Jump Off Mid-Air

Horrifying.

One of people’s favorite things to do in the summer is go to amusement parks and ride insane, terrifying and sometimes dangerous rides for hours (and hundreds of dollars). Although amusement parks are the absolute best and I’m a huge lover of roller coasters, they’re not always safe.

One 14-year-old girl was forced to jump off a Six Flag’s Great Escape ride mid-air after she had gotten her neck caught in between the seat and the bar. One bystander had captured the terrifying moments on video and shared it on Facebook.

There’s no information as to what exactly happened to cause her neck to get stuck in the ride, but something occurred that caused her to slide from her seat and out of the bottom section between the floor of the car and the steel bars. Her neck, then, became caught in the ride, as her passenger tried to help her.

No Six Flag’s employees had any plans on how to get her to safety, but instead, 10 park-goers banned together to “catch her,” as she dropped 25 feet to safety.

Terrifying.

A spokesperson for Six Flag’s has issued a statement that there was no malfunction with the ride and that the incident looked more of a freak accident than anything else.
