Couple Fakes Engagement Just To Get Free Dessert

I’ve found my new heroes.

Growing up, there was nothing as satisfying as having a delicious dessert after a big meal. Most of the time, when you get older, you don’t want to splurge for the extra $10-$25 on dessert after you just spent what you should have put towards your rent on your dinner and drinks.

But, one couple has won the Internet’s hearts forever, because they pulled off the most genius idea to date.

Some restaurants will give “free dessert” when it’s a special occasion. I’m sure you’ve all lied about it being your friends’ birthdays in order to score a free sundae at Applebee’s when you were 13. But, when you get older, it’s harder to score free dessert just for turning 30.

Luckily, these two figured it out – they faked a proposal.

That’s right – when you get engaged at a fancy restaurant, they’ll give you free dessert – which is a bigger perk than getting engaged itself.

Plus, who wants to spend all that money for that cheap little dessert plate anyway? Not I.

People on Twitter, of course, were living for this idea.

And, to top it all off, these two scammers went to prom together – and looked hella cute.

Can you say goals?
