I’m not a huge fan of pop music, but there’s something about K-pop that drives everyone wild. K-pop, also known as Korean pop music, is not only big in Korea, but all over the world as well. The K-pop band BTS is one of the most popular boy bands currently, and, for good reason. First of all, there are seven guys in BTS (which is more than our lousy 5 man bands growing up in the ’90s). They hit the scene in 2012 and from there, they’ve won numerous awards in Korea, as well as hitting the American Billboard charts pretty damn high. This year, they accomplished becoming the first K-pop band to ever perform at the American Music Awards and absolutely killed it.
Now, the band has dropped a brand new song called “Mic Drop,” remixed with some American artists such as Steve Aoki and rapper Desiigner. Of course, fans of BTS have obsessed already – but, music lovers who may not have been into K-pop before have now gotten a sweet taste of how talented these seven guys are.
