This New Book Series Just BEAT Harry Potter For Best Seller

Check out this fierce fantasy series before it becomes a TV show on Hulu.

The New York Times Bestseller List just came out and one series topped the list, beating out Harry Potter.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is the second fantasy series to come from the fantastical mind of Sarah J. Maas. If you haven’t heard of her already, she is the author of the Young Adult series Throne of Glass. The series stemmed from one idea: What if Cinderella came to the ball not to dance with the prince, but to kill him? Celaena Sardothien is a fierce assassin living in a high fantasy world in the kingdom of Adarlan, where magic is cast away by the oppressive King.

How amazing does that sound?

Six books, including the prequel collection, have already been published with two more set to hit the shelves soon. It has sold millions of copies worldwide, and Hulu has already purchased the rights to adapt it into a (soon-to-be) hit television show. Cosplays, tattoos from quotes of the book, and a devout following have already ensued, so we ask the question: Is she the next J.K. Rowling?

Now before you hardcore Potterheads begin to Expelliarmus me for such blasphemy, hear me out.

While I believe nothing could replace that part of our hearts reserved for wizards with lightning scars, I do think Sarah J. Maas is the author to look out for. Her intricate world-building, swoony male leads, and kick-ass heroines is a force to be reckon with. Check out her books before the rest of the world finds out.

You’ll thank me later.
