Guy Who ‘Stole’ The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Site Pulled Off A Heist That Would Make Thanos Proud

The Avengers: Endgame tagline echoed by characters in the trailers and promotional materials has been, “whatever it takes.” Well, one Marvel super fan took that message to heart in his quest to score tickets to the world premiere of Marvel’s biggest movie yet.

When Disney announced the long-awaited title for the follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War, Twitter user @AGuyInChair took the initiative to purchase the web domains ‘avengersendgame.com’ and ‘avengersendgamemovie.com.’

And what better way to get Disney’s attention than to direct both websites to 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2 promotional website?

While most people would use that sort of leverage to negotiate a cash buyout, @AGuyInChair’s motives were far more pure. He just wanted to trade them for tickets to the world premiere.

Ryan Reynolds himself was so impressed by his Deadpool dedication that he sent over a steel case of his Aviation gin and headphones, as well as his appreciation.

After several months of campaigning (and directly tweeting at the Russo brothers), it seems Disney was ready to play ball.

The House of Mouse relented and presented him with two tickets to the world premiere in Los Angeles. Every fan’s dream come true.

Sure enough, he and his +1 made it to the Endgame premiere and the purple carpet.

He also assured Twitter that he did keep up his side of the bargain and give Disney the domains, which now correctly take visitors to the Marvel homepage for the movie.

As for leaking any Endgame spoilers? @GuyInChair is a true fan and didn’t try to ruin the movie for others, but he did drop this curious piece of info.

Definitely Mark Ruffalo.
